Celebrating 2024: ALICE Closes the Year with Big Industry Awards & Accolades
As 2024 draws to a close, ALICE Technologies reflects on a remarkable year of innovation, collaboration, and recognition. Our work alongside industry leaders has not only transformed construction project outcomes but also earned us four major industry awards and a series of prestigious nominations. These accolades highlight our commitment to advancing construction technology and creating lasting impacts across the sector.
The Award-Winning Project
Windworks Infrastructure is a collaboration between NorSea Impact and Implenia Norge, wherein Implenia Norge is helping to find and develop a production facility to build concrete foundations for floating offshore wind farms.
The goal is to find a site for the serial production of wind turbine foundations that will yield up to one gigawatt of energy generation per year once operational. To meet this requirement, the Implenia team was seeking to answer:
- What is the most efficient site layout for constructing and moving the foundations?
- Is one or two launching corridors the optimum solution for increased productivity on-site?
- How can on-site resilience be improved?
To explore these questions, Implenia turned to ALICE. The team used ALICE to assess the feasibility of different sites and identify best practice approaches. Implenia tested different scenarios in ALICE to see where productivity gains could be made, adjusting various factors along the way.

A Year of Milestones: ALICE’s Awards in 2024
British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA)
At this year’s BCIA, Together with Implenia we received two distinguished awards:

Productivity Initiative of the Year: Recognizing our innovative use of AI-powered technology to tackle the unique challenges of offshore wind farm construction.

Initiative of the Year: A special recognition highlighting the project's social impact, fostering collaboration, and delivering tangible improvements for local communities.
ALICE was also a finalist in two additional categories: Product Innovation of the Year, and Digital Initiative of the Year. This recognition builds on previous successes, as we were highly commended at BCIA 2023, and a winner alongside partners Align JV in 2022.
TechFest Awards
ALICE and Implenia won the Best Use of Technology: Digital Construction award at the TechFest 2024. This award recognizes our ability to test and refine project scenarios using AI-driven construction software, leading to reduced costs, minimized carbon footprints, and streamlined stakeholder engagement.
Industry Eagles Awards
The transformation of a quarry into a production facility for floating offshore wind farm foundations earned ALICE Technologies the 2024 Industry Eagles Awards’ Bronze Award for Innovation of the Year. Judges praised the project’s use of AI-powered scheduling and logistics, its positive local economic impact, and its role in advancing sustainable energy solutions.
Building Innovation Awards (BIA)
At the BIA 2024, ALICE and Implenia were Highly Commended in the Best Technology Partner category, celebrating the vital role ALICE played in enabling more effective project planning and execution for the Windworks Offshore Wind Farm.
