ALICE's 2025 Annual Review

Read ALICE Technologies’ 2025 Annual Review by René Morkos, Ph.D., as he reflects on the company’s growth, AI-driven platform enhancements, customer success stories, and strategic outlook for expanding construction scheduling innovation in 2026.

Its been an incredible 12 months for ALICE Technologies as we have managed to double revenue two years in a row. We expect to double again for the 3rd year in a row in 2026.

Growth of ALICE

It’s been three years since the launch of ChatGPT, and AI is taking the world by storm. Although I’ve been working on AI for construction since 2009, and AI has been around for the last fifty years, it has taken a watershed moment for AI to become mainstream in our industry. And we’re seeing and feeling the results.

We’ve continued to be a big part of major industry events, like McKinsey & Company ’s Global Infrastructure Initiative Summit. We’ve also been recognized by leading industry organizations, such as Project Management Institute (the world’s leading association for project management professionals), where ALICE was featured in the AI in Infrastructure and Construction Projects course.

A big part of our growth can be attributed to the new and improved platform capabilities we released in 2025:

Early in the year, we released a 2D schedule visualization solution and following that, in the fall, we released the Schedule Insights Agent that provides an agentic AI layer in combination with our optimization engine. These form another two building blocks of the vision that will come together in 2026.

Releasing two major products within a year is one of the most ambitious goals we’ve had, and I am immensely proud of our team.

We’ve already seen the Suffolk Construction team use the Insights Agent to save 42 days on a project.

When external factors threatened to delay the project, the team needed to understand what could be realistically changed to recover from a delay. Our Insights Agent along with our optimization engine helped them identify opportunities that could significantly reduce negative float and increase productivity. How?

By optimizing sequencing.

That change saved them 42 days.

2025 followed some simple strategic themes:

Simplicity

If there was a single word describing 2025, it would be simplicity.

We spent the year focusing on making ALICE simpler and easier for our clients to use and get value from. We are currently refining the platform workflow to build a more unified experience and we will continue to focus on making it easier for construction scheduling teams to get value from ALICE. It is now (finally) possible to get value from ALICE within minutes.

Meet The Customer Where They’re At

Scheduling was never one problem for one person but a host of interconnected challenges that need to be solved by the scheduler, superintendent, project manager, and field personnel across bidding, precon, and construction for commercial, infrastructure, and industrial clients. That is a lot of different problems for a lot of different people. We are about to release a suite that covers the bulk of those use cases.

ALICE used to be a point solution - a 3D based construction scheduler for large complex projects. However, with our new releases, customers can now schedule in 1D (list of tasks), 2D (using canvas), and 3D (BIM models). Customers can optimize with or without resources and use our agents to automatically analyze their schedules and uncover optimization opportunities.

We’ve seen it with Reta Engenharia , when they needed to optimize the planning and construction of a nickel and cobalt mining site. With 13 million cubic meters of earthwork, and thousands of workers, they needed a way to reduce idle time. With our generative construction scheduling technology, they saw a 10% decrease in labor idle time, and 33% reduction of equipment idle time.

Or with Andrade Gutierrez S.A. and Consag Engenharia , whose baseline schedule indicated that they might be delayed by one month.

The cost of that delay? Every day after the initial contractual completion milestone would result in liquidated damages, with a one-month adding 6% of the project’s value.

Once implementing ALICE’s recommended recovery scenario solutions, they were able to save 27 calendar days, which saved them 2.7% of the project value, and mitigated the risk of the 6% liquidated damages.

We will continue to build on this momentum in 2026.

Challenges

While this year was incredible for our growth, it wasn’t without its challenges.

Doubling revenue for two years in a row while releasing two new products into what is now a suite of solutions, definitely sometimes felt like we bit off more than we could chew. However, the team executed flawlessly, which gives us great confidence that we can continue to set ambitious goals and achieve them in 2026 and beyond.

Team Transitions

Last year, we also welcomed Stan Singh our new VP of product, who brings two decades of expertise in construction and construction tech. He has the rare talent of making complex systems easy to use, without losing technical depth. Stay tuned for what he has cooked up for 2026.

2026 Outlook

Last year, there were many moments where it felt like everything was on fire, but we executed and delivered with disciplined focus. In hindsight, it was an amazing year.

We at ALICE Technologies are grateful to our customers and partners for their business and trust, to each other for our hard work, and to our investors for their support and encouragement.

2026 is the year when many more of the pieces we have been putting in place come together to build a holistic scheduling solution. We're doubling down on simplicity, improved UI/UX, doubling down on our Insights Agent, and some big feature releases that will move the needle in how teams plan, communicate, and execute their schedules.

The suite we are about to release has the potential to truly change how construction scheduling is done across the industry.

I am proud to work with the incredibly talented team at ALICE Technologies and could not be more excited to show the world what we have dreamed up in 2026!
