PRESS RELEASE FROM ALICE TECHNOLOGIES
Menlo Park, Calif -- ALICE Technologies and Kajima Group - one of the oldest and largest construction companies in the world - today announced that Kajima has selected ALICE for use on some of its most critical projects. ALICE Technologies' construction simulation and optimization platform helps general contractors worldwide to leverage the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to plan, bid, and build their large-scale infrastructure and commercial projects more efficiently and with reduced risk.
Kajima has a long history of innovation in the construction industry. For example, it built Japan's first skyscraper, the Kasumigaseki Building. Kajima also built one of the longest suspension bridges in Japan.
Through its use of the ALICE platform, Kajima is once again driving change in the way things are built around the world. With ALICE, Kajima is harnessing AI to create thousands of potential construction schedule options for its projects, a task that is impossible using traditional scheduling tools. Managers can then consider these choices and select the schedule that best matches their business goals for a project. In addition, when Kajima begins construction, it will use ALICE Manage to help it keep projects on time and on budget - and to resequence schedules easily if circumstances change.
"With ALICE, we will reimagine our approach to construction scheduling," said Koji Sugimoto, Managing Executive Officer of Kajima Corporation and Managing Director of Kajima Overseas Asia. "The platform allows us to explore myriad possibilities and to experiment with 'what-if analysis' in a way that we've never been able to do before. Moreover, when we begin construction, it gives us the opportunity to tune our schedule mid-project if necessary to ensure we deliver as promised. Our adoption of ALICE is an example of Kajima's enterprising spirit in action, and we are excited to put this innovative technology to work."
